7 Dependable Ways to Make Your Boss LOVE You
1.) Do what’s expected…and a little bit more. There has never been a traffic jam on the “Extra Mile”. Work the entire time you are supposed to be working. $1’s wage for at least $1’s worth of work. If you are supposed to start work at 8am and you’re still getting your coffee and checking personal emails or gossiping about last weekend you are stealing your company’s time. That’s not what you are paid for. And by the way, you don’t get paid for showing up, you get paid for results.

If you work hard you WILL get promoted (maybe even given a raise ).
2.) Be reliable, dependable, stable, responsible, honorable, respectable, veritable, credible and all the other “able’s” and “ible’s”. Get used to walking on egg shells if there is any indication that your boss can’t rely you. DO NOT be a mouse that plays when the cat is away. Verbally and by your actions let your superiors know they can count on you… and then make absolute sure they can.
3.) Communicate Up and Down. The majority of corporate problems can be avoided with better communication. When given a task, always report back when it’s done or if there are issues. Be vocal about opportunities you can save your company money, make more money and find ways to be more productive and more efficient. Always be forward thinking.
4.) Be Low Maintenance. Be a self starter, make a conscious decision to bug your boss as little as possible. You would be absolutely astounded by the number of stupid questions bosses get bombarded with. Be intuitive and try to figure it out yourself before you go asking. And yes, we all have issues in our personal lives. As Prosperous Christians, we keep the drama out of our professional lives and our boss surely doesn’t always need to hear about it.
5.) Positive Mental Attitude. As trite as it may sound, positivity will always gain points from your superiors. A positive mental attitude can – and indeed does – change reality by allowing a person to act in an entirely different way, thus harvesting entirely different results. Positive mindset always focuses on solutions and not on detriment. Of course obstacles and set backs happen. As a Prosperous Christian, it’s our job overcome, adapt and prevail!

6.) Take Something Off Their Plate. Be proactive an look for things you can do so they won’t have to. This pays gigantic dividends!
7.) Make your boss look good! Set him or her up for success. It could be as simple as standing up for your boss to another employee, or reminding them of an important meeting. Praise them to their boss. Look for ways to bless your boss on a weekly if not daily basis.
